Energy Machines' first U.S. installation is commissioned in New York

November 15, 2023

History has been made in New York City as Energy Machines’ installation at 345 Hudson Street achieves successful commissioning, setting a new standard for energy retrofits in the U.S. market. In this 92-year-old building, the newly employed integrated energy system features water-source heat pumps on different floors, enabling the easy sharing and movement of heat — including waste heat — throughout the entire structure. Achieving a COP greater than 9, the design ensures the building’s CO2 emissions are expected to be reduced by more than 85%. The commissioning, led by our dedicated team of energy rebels in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and New York, marks a major milestone in our journey to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

345 Hudson Street is home to tenants including Google, Viacom, and CBS.

We extend our gratitude to Hudson Square Properties, Hines, Trinity Church Wall Street, and Norges Bank Investment Management for selecting Energy Machines as the solution provider for this game-changing retrofit.
